Embedding Videos into blogs

I still haven't mastered this one. Has anyone got any tricks for how to embed youtube and the like into our globalteacher.org blogs?? I've tried everything I can think of including using the code tab and pasting the code directly there but nothing works. I either end up with the code in the post or a huge box with nothing in it! By the by, it's not just youtube, I've also created a video using Jing and tried embedding that but no go...I don't have any troubles linking though.

Hi Heather,
It really depends on the video. I have just embedded a youtube video into a globalteacher blog and it worked fine. I copied the embeddable script (on the right of the video) and pasted into the post while in html view. Make sure you save and publish. You can see the video here
Much trickier to do teachertube ones...

Unbelievable!! I'm sure that one of the ways I've tried before is exactly as you describe...however, that way works now. And not only that, I got the same video to embed in another post where I'd pasted code before with no success.

Actually don't bother- I downloaded Jing and have been playing. I can do image captures but can't seem to get the video to work either : (.....
